  1. How many kids do you have? Ages? I have two boys – Thomas, 8 and Winston, 5.
  2. What is your favorite thing about being a mom? I think my favorite thing about being a mom is watching my boys grow & blossom into little men over time. Each one has their own personalities and I love seeing them be themselves with their friends and become their own people.
  3. How long have you been a part of MOPS/MOMSnext? I have been a part of MOPS for the better part of 6 years. I have been on the steering team for 4 years.
  4. How did you find MOPS/MOMSnext? I had a few friends suggest that I come and I never did. Then one day, I was selling Arbonne and I was asked to pamper moms at a meeting with my foot spa products. After seeing the community and the friendships that I was missing out on, I decided that I had to be a part of this group and I joined shortly after that.
  5. My favorite flavor of jelly bean is…red.
  6. If you could spend time binge watching one show, what would it be? Golden Girls or Dexter.
  7. If you could take a week off from your regular life to immerse yourself in learning something new, what would it be? It would be how to cook well. I can do easy things but I would love to be able to cook using exotic ingredients and make something that my kids would like to eat.
  8. Tell me 10 things I’d see when I walk in your door? Shoes, my two dogs, probably someones dirty underwear on the floor, a Lego (you won’t see this until you step on it), my purse(s), jackets or sweaters, a blanket, more than likely a dirty dish or old cup of water, a pile of mail and a glass table with a lamp.
  9. What makes you feel accomplished? A clean kitchen sink.
  10. What is your idea of a perfect vacation? Warm weather, Pina Coladas, a clean pool and kids that are behaving and having fun!
  11. What would you like to see our MOPS/MOMSnext group accomplish this year? I would love to see more moms join our group – create more diversity and experience among our moms and create lifelong friendships.
  12. What excites you about this year’s theme “Find Your Fire”? At the beginning of 2018 I claimed this calendar year as a year of healing and growth for myself – physically and personally. I am excited for this theme because the topics alone hit home for me and my family on many different levels. I am excited to explore more and see how we can grow as a family.

  2. What is your favorite thing about being a mom? Having fun with my kids and hearing them laugh! And the cuddles.
  3. How long have you been a part of MOPS/MOMSnext? I have been attending MOPS for 5 years and I have been on the steering team for 4 years.
  4. How did you find MOPS/MOMSnext? I had just moved to the area and a friend recommended the group.
  5. My favorite flavor of jelly bean is…grape.
  6. If you could spend time binge watching one show, what would it be? Six million dollar man. Or Tim Burton and Wes Anderson movies.
  7. If you could take a week off from your regular life to immerse yourself in learning something new, what would it be? I would love to learn how to play guitar! I have always wanted to play and someday I will!
  8. Tell me 10 things I’d see when I walk in your door? Right now you will see sheets of drywall, tools laying around and a total mess! (we are remodeling a 100 year old farmhouse). Usually you would see a welcome sign, another sign that says beach bum, my fridge covered with Charlie’s artwork & baby pictures of Ellie, my kitchen island covered with the Kids projects & veggies from my garden, a pair of snowshoes hanging in my entryway that I made with my Dad, Charlie’s soccer shoes, a bag with my roller derby equipment and a cross hanging on the wall that Ben & I received from our pastor before we were married.
  9. What makes you feel accomplished? When I go out of my comfort zone and try something new and scary! I feel really accomplished when I conquer my inner introvert and show up to an event where I might feel uncomfortable. Or when I reach out to a new friend even if I’m feeling shy.
  10. What is your idea of a perfect vacation? An all inclusive resort on some tropical island where I can relax on the beach all day and spend quality time with my kids and husband.
  11. What would you like to see our MOPS/MOMSnext group accomplish this year? Strong friendships. Motherhood can be lonely and friendships will save us! I would love to see this group grow closer. I don’t want anyone to feel alone.
  12. What excites you about this year’s theme “Find Your Fire”? I am so excited for this theme! As mothers we can get so caught up with raising kids that we forget our passions. What are you passionate about? What makes you feel alive and lights a fire in you? God put those passions there for a reason. Time to light that fire again! When we take time to care for ourselves, we will be better mothers.
